The year 2013 was crucial for the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdansk due to moving to new buildings, located on the Oliwa campus, at Wita Stwosza 63 in Gdańsk.
There are 190 research laboratories in the new location with a total area of 7000 m2. All the laboratories are equipped with modern laboratory furniture and fume hoods. Additionally each laboratory possesses de-ionized water points (from central system), an installation of specialty gases (nitrogen, argon, helium, chosen dedicated gas), a point of compressed air, as well as the automatically controlled VAV (Variable Air Volume) ventilation.
Office rooms with computer workstations, each with an area of approx. 17 m2, are designed for 2-4 people. Kept in pastel color, full of light, equipped with an automatic ventilation and vertical blinds, they are a convenient place for daily work.
